Meet Kimberly Key, PhD
Welcome!
I’m Kimberly Key, PhD—psychologist, systems healer, author, and founder of SoulResilience™. Thank you for visiting.
Whether you’re here for support, collaboration, or curiosity, I welcome you.
I believe the deepest healing and most lasting change happens at the intersection of evidence and meaning, systems and the soul.
Why the Soul?
While I am a psychologist with decades of traditional therapy and consulting experience—working with people and organizations through trauma, crisis, grief, family and generational wounds, systemic fatigue, and burnout—I found many excelled most when they reconnected to the deep inner guidance their soul kept whispering to them.
The soul begged to be heard, seen—and trusted.
But, when the soul is forgotten—and replaced by technology—soul-weariness and soul fatigue set in.
Many quietly suffer from soul fatigue without having a name for it—
and it goes deeper than tiredness.
Deeper than thought processes.
Soul fatigue is an epidemic.
And it is exacerbated by systems that, though designed to support humanity, have lost touch with their original soul purpose.
That’s why I created SoulResilience™—an integrative approach to healing and thriving in our rapidly changing world. Rooted in research and lived experience, SoulResilience™ helps individuals, families, and organizations move from struggle to soul resilience: a state where science, meaning, and practical action come together.
Why SoulResilience™?
After decades of work across business, engineering, psychology, and systems leadership, I saw firsthand how people’s personal challenges affected organizational performance, and how organizational dysfunction rippled back into personal and family life. My experience—from taking a natural water remediation design to market, to pioneering innovative workplace trainings and mental health technologies —revealed a common truth:
When the human element—and the soul—is overlooked, everyone suffers.
What sets this work apart?
Unlike standard “resilience” programs or generic wellness advice, SoulResilience™ brings together science, systemic insight, and soul wisdom. I draw from decades of hands-on experience—across mental health, organizational change, trauma, and healing research—plus a lifetime’s curiosity for the mysteries that AI and algorithms can’t solve.
My approach is integrative: evidence-based, trauma-informed, and always attuned to the unique stories, pain points, and longings of real people. Whether you’re facing burnout, relational pain, or a crossroads in life or work, you’ll find a space here for honest reflection, practical tools, and genuine connection.
Credentials & Experience
My professional journey began in bioenvironmental engineering, where I studied the impact of natural and manmade toxins on human health. This systems lens became the foundation for a lifelong inquiry: How do our environments—physical, cultural, emotional—shape our well-being, and how do we, in turn, shape the systems around us?
Along the way, I became a trauma-certified systems psychotherapist, earned Master’s degrees in counseling & educational psychology, systems psychology, a PhD in health psychology, and advanced certifications in conflict resolution, business and family systems, and organizational change. I’ve developed career and psychological assessments, including The Key Essentials Balance Assessment, authored Ten Keys to Staying Empowered in a Power Struggle, The Remembered Soul: Sacred Healing in a Forgetful World, and “Counseling Keys” for Psychology Today, and led training and consulting across healthcare, business, education, government agencies, and tech.
My Work Today
Through SoulResilience™, I support leaders, healthcare professionals, teams, and people at every level—whether they’re facing burnout, navigating major transitions, or longing for more meaning and connection.

On a personal note:
I believe in the power of creativity, kindness, and sacred spaces—whether it’s a soulful conversation, a home filled with meaningful objects, or a quiet moment by the ocean. My life (and this work) is guided by the idea that “where the infinite becomes intimate,” we find both healing and new possibilities.
Thank you again for visiting.
If you’re ready for an integrated approach to growth and healing—for yourself, your family, or your organization—I’d be honored to connect.
